Specimen Requirements

Special Note: Spin down within 30 minutes of draw. Promptly remove plasma from cells and freeze imediately for specimen transport from clinics. Avoid hemolysis.

 

Specimen Type: EDTA Plasma

Collection Container: EDTA, placed on wet ice immediately after venipuncture

Preferred: EDTA

Acceptable: EDTA

Specimen Volume: 1 mL 

Minimum Volume: 0.5 mL
