C. auris testing is used as an aid in infection control in the detection of C. auris that colonizes patients in health care settings and is not intended to guide or monitor treatment of infection.

Specimen Requirements
Specimens:
Skin swab (optimal axilla and groin composite) collected with an Eswab
Ship refrigerated.
If delay in shipment cannot bbe prevented, store swabs at 2-8° C until shipment. Specimens must be tested within 4 days of collection. Ship Cold
