Container                            Plastic leak proof container

Collection                           Smear material from brush on glass slide(s) and fix immediately with Cytology spray fixative.  Spread the material thinly and evenly on the slide.  Use frosted end slide with the patient's name and birth date written in pencil.

• Place the brush in the container with saline and shake vigorously to remove cells.
